Our home is where we park it.-

Clark’s Trading Post in Lincoln, New Hampshire, is best known for its LIVE BEAR performance acts. The Traveling Morgans will let others comment on the bears. Our interest was more in the rare Climax external gear steam locomotive that powers their tour trains.

The tourist train crosses a covered bridge, pushed by a Climax external gear steam engine, designed for logging operations.

This picture was taken by Phyllis, and it shows what she must put up with. The person in front of her (Larry) is always leaning out to take a picture and blocking her picture.

Close up of the working external gears of the Climax. This picture shows the steam

This picture is clear of steam

Clarks also has a small Porter type engine
(2-4-2) that sometimes runs.
